Meet Aaron and Jenna.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing both of them for a few years now so when Aaron got down on one knee and popped the question to his beloved, I jumped at the chance to capture these moments between dating and marriage. Engagement is a special time and deserves to be commemorated and held in place as a photograph. Memories that we physically hold onto that we revisit 5, 10, even 50 years down the road. So I offered and they obliged and I was blessed to witness a whole other side of them…that tender, lighthearted yet protective and intimate side that is reserved for and expressed between the two of them.

I was nervous about this shoot. I know Aaron to be quick to laugh, and once he laughs, she laughs, and then, well, me. How were we ever going to get anything done?

These two, oh my, how they humor each other!

But if there’s one thing I’ve learned in my years of marriage it’s that a sense of humor and the ability to laugh is essential. And Aaron and Jenna have already laid a solid foundation in that area. We had so much fun…and we laughed so very much.

And in between all of those giggles I caught glimpses of the deep love and trust they have cultivated. It was beautiful! It IS beautiful!

It’s my hope and prayer that you always remain tender towards one another, laughing at the small stuff (and sometimes the big stuff), and walk hand in hand, side by side, together into eternity.
