Let me take the stress out of your newborn and family photo session. Sessions with me are not about perfect poses because that’s not how we live life. My gently guided approach during a session creates a comfortable space which allows you to be yourself. I encourage and focus on connection and never leave you wondering what you should do next.

While I prefer to photograph newborn families in their homes, I also love to get out into nature and explore the great outdoors as well. Both locations offer wildly different vibes, it all depends on what you want to see, remember, and experience.

Doing a newborn or family photo shoot from the comfort of your own home allows you to be more relaxed, capture your everyday magic (or mundane…it’s all perspective) in the most important and sacred of spaces. It also allows you the freedom to take bathroom breaks, eat a snack, have a comfy place to snuggle or sit on. Another benefit to doing a photo shoot from home is that we have a LOT more flexibility with the time.

Outdoor locations can feel a little more adventurous with children. I like to choose locations that are not only beautiful but maybe also offer some facets of distraction and engagement with nature itself (think a stream or wildflowers). Maybe there’s a location that’s special to you, maybe it’s your backyard. Outdoor photo shoots are typically best taken during the early morning hours near sunrise as well as close to sunset. That’s when the sun offers a brilliant golden glow and typically a little more shade.
