Nestled against the foothills of Pinnacle Peak, Troon North offers some of the most breathtaking desert scenery in Arizona. With towering saguaros, rugged boulder formations, rolling fairways, and endless mountain views, it provided the perfect setting for a senior session that felt both timeless and uniquely Arizona.

One of the reasons I love photographing seniors at Troon North Golf Club is the incredible variety of scenery available within a relatively small area. During this session, we were able to capture several completely different looks without ever leaving the property.
The lush green fairways created a clean and polished backdrop, while the surrounding Sonoran Desert landscape added texture, color, and that unmistakable Arizona feel. As the sun began to set, the warm golden light illuminated the mountains and saguaros, creating the kind of natural glow photographers dream about.
For senior boys especially, Troon North offers a sophisticated and masculine setting that photographs beautifully while still feeling relaxed and authentic.
A Session Focused on Personality
One of my goals during every senior session is to create portraits that feel genuine. Rather than relying on stiff poses, we focused on capturing natural expressions and confidence throughout the evening.
This senior, Chase, brought an easygoing personality and great sense of style to his session. Whether he was standing among the desert landscape, walking along the golf course paths, or taking in the mountain views, his images reflected who he is at this exciting milestone in life.
Senior year is about celebrating accomplishments, growth, and the anticipation of what's next. These portraits serve as a reminder of this unique season before graduation and all the adventures that lie ahead.
Golden Hour Magic in Scottsdale
As the evening progressed, we were treated to one of Arizona's famous sunsets. The golden-hour light transformed the desert scenery into a canvas of warm oranges, soft golds, and rich earth tones.
The combination of dramatic skies, mountain vistas, and iconic saguaros gave this session a distinctly Southwestern feel that simply can't be replicated anywhere else.
These final images perfectly captured the spirit of Arizona while highlighting the confidence and character of this soon-to-be graduate.
